Athens City Breaks – 5 Days

Itinerary

1st day: Arrival in Athens and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free.

2nd day: Breakfast at hotel. Departure for the half day city tour of Athens including visit to Acropolis and the New Museum (organised bus tour, with licensed English speaking guide). Rest of the day free. We recommend a visit to the National Museum or a walk around Plaka, the old district, for shopping or eating, or the evening tour to Cape Sounio with the breathtaking view and the Temple of Poseidon.

3rd day: Breakfast at hotel. Today you’ll have a full day tour either to Argolis (departures every Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday – Saturday) or Delphi (daily departures).

The city Tour to Argolis includes crossing of the Corinth canal, visit to the archaeological sites of Myceane, where you’ll get to see the famous Tomb of King Agamemnon and the Lion’s Gate, lunch at a local restaurant, visit to the picturesque town to Nafplio, the first capital of Greece and finally visit to the Ancient Theatre of Epidavros, famous for its acoustics. Return to Athens late afternoon.

The city Tour to Delfi begins with crossing the town of Thebes. After your arrival in Delfi you get to visit the Museum, the temple of Apollo where Pythia used to give her Oracles to ancient Greeks and the Castalia spring with two monumental fountains. After your lunch at a local restaurant you’ll have a visit to the traditional mountain village of Arachova. Return to Athens late afternoon.

4th day: Breakfast at hotel. Free time to explore the city at your own pace. We recommend the One day cruise to Aegina – Poros – Hydra, witch will give you a taste of the Saronic Golf. The cruise includes also lunch and folklore show on board.

5th day: Breakfast at hotel. Free time to explore the city at your own pace. According to your time of departure, transfer to Athens airport.
